Wyoming Sex Offender’s Registry provides the services of registering sex offenders for the State of Wyoming. State Legislature has amended the sex offender registry laws, WSL directed Department of Criminal Investigation to facilitate access to the information on a public internet web site. This website lists all sex offenders registered in the State of Wyoming, without the need to consider or assess the specific risk of re-offense with respect to any person prior to addition within the registry.
According to the Wyoming Sex Offender Registry the sex offender shall have the following information with the registry:
Fingerprints and palm prints by the registering entity
Other than this following additional information will also be registered; Name, including any aliases ever used by the offender, Present address, Date and place of birth. Other than this Social security number, Place of employment, Date and place of conviction, Crime for which convicted, The name and location of all the educational institution in this state at which the person is employed or attending school, The license plate number and a description of any vehicle owned or operated by the offender, a DNA sample and the age of the victim will also be required. All this information should be updated and no false information should be mentioned or concealed by the offender. In case of misinformation, the offender can be fined or barred according to the State of Wyoming Law.
Penalty: Fail to Register
Any individual who knowingly fails to register as required by Wyoming State Law (7-19-302) is guilty of a felony punishable by a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), imprisonment for not more than five (5) years, or both.
Any individual convicted of a subsequent violation of willfully failing to register as required by Wyoming State Law (7-19-302) is guilty of a felony punishable by a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), incarceration for not more than ten (10) years, or both.
Wyoming Sex Offender of registration information shall be provided to the public through a public registry. The information gathered from the public registry will contain the following information: (A) The offender’s name, including any aliases; (B) Physical address; (C) Date and place of birth; (D) Date and place of conviction; (E) Crime for which convicted; (F) Photograph; (G) Physical characteristics including race, sex, height, weight, eye and hair color; (J) The license plate number and a description of any vehicle owned or operated by the sex offender.

The data collected from the registry is of confidential nature. Any individual who willfully discloses such data is guilty of a misdemeanor and is punishable by imprisonment for not more than six (6) months, a fine of not more than seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00) or both, as decided by the Law of the State of Wyoming.
