An application should include a valid email address and so the results would be emailed; however, results would l be mailed if a valid email address is not included. A complete application form should be accompanied with $29 fee, which should be paid through a credit card, money order or cashier’s check.
The State of Tennessee is a closed record state and so the TBI does not certify copies of criminal history records. In order to apply for a job in another state that falls under the Child Care Provider Act or Developmental Disabilities Act, that employer should have a Users Agreement with the TBI before a criminal history can be performed.
